Sightings for Wednesday April 17

Verdun, Iles des soeurs: This morning at 10:00 AM in the parking lot at the end of Elgar Street - 12 - 15 Bohemian Waxwings (Jaseurs boréal).  Also seen in the woods:  Northern Goshawk (Autour des palombes) - actually seen in the sky over the woods, Yellow-bellied sapsucker, Eastern Phoebe , Brown Creeper , Golden-crowned Kinglet (, Hermit Thrush (Pic maculé, Moucherelle Phebé, Grimpereau brun, Roitelet à couronne dorée, Grive solitaire), three Winter Wrens  (Troglodyte des forêts)  sunless it was one Winter Wren seen three times, Carolina Wren, Tree Swallow, Red-winged Blackbird (males only), Song Sparrow, Crows, Herring Gulls (Troglodyte de Caroline, Hirondelle bicolore, Carouge à épaulettes, Bruant chanteur, Corneilles, Goélands argentés).  When we returned to the parking lot at lunch-time the Bohemian Waxwings were gone. - Mike and Doris Bristol
