Sightings for Monday May 19

Westmount: Seen at Summit Woods this morning: Cooper's Hawk (Épervier de Cooper) sitting on a branch out in the open - it did not move during the one hour plus we were up there, Red-eyed vireos (Viréo aux yeux rouges) - probably 4 individuals, Scarlet Tanager (Tangara écarlate) over towards the entrance to the cul-de-sac, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Magnolia Warbler (Paruline bleue, Paruline à tête cendrée).  There is definitely an Eastern Phoebe (Moucherolle phébi) nesting on the sheltered bird I.D. poster.  Both the nest and the bird sitting in the nest were clearly visible at close range tucked away on the highest horizontal platform under the roof. Also seen, but not by us, Great Crested Flycatcher, Indigo Bunting (Tyran huppé, Passerin indigo).  Mike and Doris Bristol
