Hawk Watch Monday March 14

The wind was light today so the hawks were using thermals for migration. Some birds took 10 minutes to pass by us. We had 12 more adult Golden Eagles Aigles royal, plus Bald Eagles / Pygargues à tête blanche., bringing our two-day Golden flight to 47. Adding in the Bald Eagles brings us up to 52. Adding in the Bald Eagles already counted before yesterday brings us up to 57, a very good start to the season with over 2 months to go. Unfortunately, rain is forecast for the next 3 days. - Bob Barnhurst
